Are you wondering how to propagate jade plant?

Jade plant can be easily prorogated by stem cuttings.

Stem cuttings develop roots quickly and produce more jade plants.

Select a healthy cutting from the parent plant.

Remove lower leaves before burying the cutting.

You can choose one of the two methods for planting the cutting:

1. In Soil 2. In Coco peat

Method 1  Grow cuttings in the soil.

If you want to grow cutting in soil -

1. do not prepare any soil. 2. take the soil of any pot which already has a plant.

Place the cutting in the moisturized soil taken from another plant.

Method -2 Grow cuttings in Coco peat

Mix coco peat with a bit of fertilizer to achieve slight moisture.

Place the cutting in the coco peat.

After this process,  keep your jade plant in a shaded area for 3 to 4 days.

Roots will develop within 45 days, after which you can transfer the cuttings to larger pots.

Additional tips to care  Jade plant

Jade plant thrive in direct sunlight. This plant needs regular sunlight of 4-5 hours daily.

Jade plant, being succulent, require less water compared to many other plants.

Signs of Over-watering: Yellowing leaves, mushy stems, and consistently wet soil.
